First burn matters. Let your candle burn until the wax melts evenly edge to edge. (Yes, it takes patience. No, you can’t rush it.)
Trim your wick. Before each burn, cut the wood wick to 3–5mm. Keeps the flame steady and the soot minimal.
Keep it clean. No dust, no matches, no random debris in the wax pool. You’re not making soup.
Stay centred. Always burn on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, and kids.
Timing is everything. Don’t burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish, let cool, then relight if you want more.
Retire gracefully. Stop burning when 1cm of wax remains. (It’s done its job, don’t push it.)
